I will try and spend a little time each day this week talking about what we hope to see in each one of the destinations.  Today, I will start with Bangkok.  We aren't spending a whole lot of time in Bangkok per recommendations from a few people and research on the net but we will be spending some time there because there are a few places that we want to hit.  First the temples.  There are a couple of very interesting sounding temples in Bangkok.  Specifically, we will try to make it to Wat Phra Kaew and Wat Pho.  Wat Phra Kaew is home to the Emerald Buddha and Wat Pho is home to the largest reclining Buddha in Thailand.  We are also looking forward to seeing Khao San Road.  Khao San Road is the gathering capital for travellers in Asia.  Anyone who does any decent amount of travelling in Asia will more than likely end up on Khao San road at some point in time.  So this trip will be our point in time.  Finally, if we have some time we want to hit some of the markets.  Unfortunately, we won't be there on a weekend to go to the Weekend market but I am sure that we will find something.  I am also very excited about food from street stalls....
